Is this a normal tramadol effect? Should I expect to be fine for school in five !

Question: Is this a normal tramadol effect? Should I expect to be fine for school in five hours?
At 8.55 PM I took 25mg of tramadol and by like...9.30 I started getting a little out of it and at the 40 mark I was pretty much out. At midnight, nearly on the dot I woke up wide awake, and haven't been abel to fall asleep since. I feel very loopy right now....and like when i stand up I feel a bit dizzy and unbalenced. I also feel nauseous and like I'm about to throw up. I feel kinda...like numb? I can feel that my body is in pain...but..like the medicine has blovked it if taht makes sense? It's a really like weirrd feeling. I have to :get up for school in five hours at the very least. Maybe six...shoudl i expect to be fine then? Even then I've only had two hours of sleep tonight thus far and I feel wide awake and alert...but obv I won't feel this way all day. Shoudl I be alright for school, you think?

If it helps, I'm 121 pounds nad about 5'8''.

The dizziness, nausea, etc... that's all normal to an extent. But, I mean, if it continues to be bothersome, affects you constantly or really just gets in the way of everyday life, then it's something you need to talk to your doctor about. Obviously this is the first time you've taken it so... the only thing I can think of is that your body isn't used to it. More so, it's a lot to take in after being in pain for so long? Mostly guessing. :z

As for school, well... as you said, you're not going to be alert all day. But, who knows when that's going to happen or how it's going to play off? Because you could either slowly start getting sleepy or just totally want to pass out and sleep. Not like, literally pass out but you know... xD I think you should just see how you feel later on. If you still can't get to sleep in 5/6 hours, the time you start getting ready for school, you shouldn't go. I mean, I guess you could always go and come home early but yeah. :b

I've taken it a couple of times and yeah ur right it feels like a horrible hang over the day after. I felt that way for several hours can't quite remember how long before I started feeling better. Mine knocked me out all night though

I know I'm answering late, but that feeling is to be expected when you first take tramadol. I assume you took half of a 50mg pill, that is half of the usual prescribed dose, so you might wanna ease your way into the regular dose. If you take tramadol again and you feel the same way, try taking it with a small snack, some sort of carbohydrate to help metabolize it. I eat them all day for chronic pain and sometimes I feel like tossing my cookies (throwing up,lol) but my doctor prescribed me promethazine to take with it occasionally. The promethazine also helps with that "wired" speedy feeling tramadol gives me. The mixture of the two meds makes me sound and act like Lil' Wayne, but I can deal with that cuz i sleep like a Baby. And I don't mean i sleep like "Baby", i actually mean like a baby. That wasn't a Cash Money pun...good luck with your meds and if it gets to bothersome call your doc or pharmacy...
