The pain of regret. The pain of regret can haunt you forever, but the pain of hard work has it's reward in the finished result. The pain of hard work will also pass when the work is done and you will live with satisfaction of a job done well.

entirely differnet sorts of pain. work brings short-lived pain which is a reminder of accomplishment. regret often constant or recurring emotional pain from lack of accomplishment. certainly the latter is worse generally because we can neither forget the cause of our regret nor go back in time and put things right.

the pain of regret. you can always rest after a long day of work but the thought of that you missed out on something special can stick with you for a while. plus yoou can buy whatever you want with the money you earn :)
