Waking up once during the night to pee is *normal*. The issue is that you're so stressed out by it, you are having trouble going back to sleep. I suggest you look up some tips for coping with insomnia.
Do you sleep on your right side? There is something about laying on your right side thar makes you need to go to the bathroom more often. I forget exactly why, lol. But if you have a medical exam and they need a urine sample, they will have the person lay on their right side and in about twenty minutes or so, they have to use the restroom. So,that is one thing you can keep in mind.
wear an adult diaper.
no water...
You shouldn't be drinking anything for at least three hours before you go to bed.
You don't say how old you are. As a person ages the bladder doesn't stretch and hold as much and getting up to pee at least once is common.
Try counting sleep when you get back into bed or read something really boring or, if you believe in God, start saying the same prayer over and over. That always does the trick for me.
You are becoming anxious about not getting to sleep. If you tell yourself that missing a night or two of sleep won't kill you and you'll make up for it then your anxiety should lessen because the more you think about it the worse it will get. If all else fails take some Tylenol PM.
