Is it dangerous to take expired drugs or do they just lose potency as time goes !

Question: Is it dangerous to take expired drugs or do they just lose potency as time goes on?
I have some loratadine pills for allergies that expired in December '08 but I'm too cheap to throw them out.

I just found that online. It Says it should be safe to take them if they're are out of date. I took 2 year old sleeping tablets the other night as I was in lots of pain and couldn't sleep. They worked, I slept and I'm still alive!

to answer your question is it dangerous no its not but the loss of potency will effect how you act later on depending on what you have for me i have AD HD so im taking Ritaline and i have noticed that sometimes it loses potency because its been sitting in a confined space for so long but im still good and healthy :)

Hi.No,it isn't dangerous to take them, but they may have lost some some of it's potency over time. But,I would still take them without too much concern.Take care.
