Question: My niece has a glass splinter in her foot?

she was walking barefoot in the kitchen and her brother dropped a jar on the floor. She stood on a tiny shard that was left after her mum had cleared the floor.

help please- she is only 2.

You may feel confident that you can remove the glass with a pair of tweezers (scrubbed eyebrow ones perhaps) if not why not take her to your local Minor Injuries Unit and let them sort it out. Carry her so she doesn't put any pressure on the area.

If you can see it go after it with tweezers before you try using a needle and whatever you do be careful not to make things worse looking for something that may in fact not be there. Left alone it will likely encapsulate and come out on its own anyway.

My boys both go barefoot everywhere.

ummm TAKE HER YO THE DOCTORS!!!!! duh or if its really small pull it out but it could bleed uncontrollably take her to the doctors
