How old do you have to be to become a organ donor?!

Question: How old do you have to be to become a organ donor?
I'm 14 and want to become a donor, will i be able to register because of my age and also how do you apply to be one?

Answers:

Of course you can, donors of all ages are accepted, as long as they are competent to make the decision for themselves...which it seems that you are =p (only difference is that with under 18s the parent/guardians permission is sought before a donation actually takes place, but you can still join the register)

Just visit this site and you can be a registered donor in the next few minutes (assuming you live in the UK) http://www.organdonation.nhs.uk/ukt/

It's great to see young people wanting to join the register, it really is one of the greatest things you can do for another person!

Honestly, it doesn't matter what you want, it matters what your family wants. Registering to be a donor is only to make you feel better about it. But when it comes to it, if you have a family member that doesn't want it, it wont be done and you'll have no say so. So I suggest you let your family know your wishes and express to them how important it is to you.

Above 18. You have to have an NHS card to become a donor, and only over-18s have one.

with ur parents consent u can become an organ donor. either visit the website or get a form (from ur doctors surgery)

I would think 18
