Has anyone ever actually died of a broken heart?!

I believed all my life that there was such a thing as dying from a broken heart, but after I lost the love f my life, and still cry myself to sleep every night, I now seriously doubt there is such thing, because if it was, I would be with him right now.

Rather than get into too much detail on an explanation, I'll give you my own personal example:

My grandparents. About two years ago my grandmother died in surgery, she was having something done with her heart and they pretty much knew she wasn't going to be strong enough to pull through.
My grandfather, who was a strong and smart man always loved my grandmother with all of his heart, even though they could argue like there was no tomorrow.

A week after my grandmother died, my grandfather passed away unexpectedly. He was really sad about her passing and losing the woman he loved so dearly, and I truly believe that is what helped him cross, because otherwise he was as healthy as a horse.

I think you can if you just lose your will to live. Like let's say your on the brink of dying and they tell you your son passed away in the accident. It does something to you mentally that in such a fragile state can have an effect on your body. When it is make or break and you killed your son yes you can die of a broken heart.

They say that you can die from a broken heart but when a heart is broken, it just feels like you're going to die. Nurture yourself, allow yourself to grieve. Write about it. Talk about it. Get it out. If you feel you need to, find a counselor to talk to. Don't give up. A broken heart eventually heals, no matter how bad it may seem today.

Yes, I heard on the news once that a mother heard the news that her son died in the war and fell over dead. To much stress on the heart is no good.

Well it's called depression, which is not healthy and dramatically cuts into your life span. Also, a baby that is given no love or affection will die.
