I wanna be a PA...help?!

Question: I wanna be a PA...help?

So want to go to graduate school to be a PA...one of the requirements is this...Documentation of a minimum of 200 hours of direct patient contact health care experience, either volunteer or paid, to include a minimum of 20 hours "shadowing" a physician assistant.... I am a optometrist assistant, will this count towards the 200 hours?

It might be ok but I would try looking at other things like being an EMT or CNA/MA (it encompasses more of the entirety medicine as opposed to to just one system)I would also go to the local hospital's volunteer office and ask about shadowing a PA.
