as an adult for an earache and plugged up ear? I just wonder how effective it will be instead of going to the doctors for antibiotics.

sweet oil is still a valid home remedy for ear aches. I still use it and i'm an old guy. I usually heat it (like a babies formula) with hot water so its warm(not hot).
Tobacco is also effective.
Long before the fda started putting in their input... It was used for many ailments here in the states.
