Question: I'm unable to extend my arm fully and I have upper arm pain after a blood test...?
I had a blood test (despite a phobia of needles) about five hours ago, and I've had terrible shooting pains throughout my whole arm, especially when I try to extend it, and when I touch my upper arm the shooty pains get worse.
I suppose I could describe the feeling as a constant dead leg. I'm wondering if anything went wrong.
Could it? Thanks!

The needle could've either just aggravated a muscle (nothing to worry about) or hit a nerve (not good!). It'll take a day or so for pain to go away after a blood test, especially if you were all tensed up when they took the blood. For now it'd help to ice your sore arm and take some ibuprofen, but if the pain doesn't go away or gets worse then you should go back to the doctor's.
