How do you address a pharmacist?!

Question: How do you address a pharmacist?
What is the proper form of address? I don't think Doctor is appropriate, yet Mr. or Ms. doesn't seem to be suitably respectful of the field.

Answers:

Well, pharmacists have to get a Doctor of Pharmacy, so I believe that Doctor is, indeed, appropriate.

Edit: That is very true,e25scort. I should say, calling them Doctor is appropriate unless they give you some other name or title by which to call them.

Well usually people introduce themselves first. If you call & he says, “Hi, this is Brian speaking,” then the appropriate thing is to refer to him (or her) by the name they provided. Usually in a Pharmacist- customer conversation, first name is used. Other than that it is their preference & you can ask if you feel comfortable. There are tons of degrees in which a person can have a PhD, but that does not mean that they all want the title “Dr. …”

"hey drug guy or lady"
