Crackling sound in infected ear when I move my head?!

Question: Crackling sound in infected ear when I move my head?
I went swimming a heated pool at my local gym, I did freestlye lap swimming for about an hour, and then the next day for two hours. My ear was blocked after the first day, but I went swimming again and now my other ear is blocked, despite using ear plugs. I went to see the doctor and he thinks both ears a slightly infected. My hearing is really impaired, and when I move my head my left ear crackles and feels weird... I've been presribed ear drops that are supposed to help....
Anyways.. is this crackling noise normal? And are heated pools more likely to cause ear infections, as I've swam in rivers, lakes and normal swimming pools for much longer periods of time and have never had an ear infection. I'm suspicious that the pool I swam in hasn't been maintained properly.

Answers:

I suppose if you have an infection, the noise may be normal, maybe you have excess fluid in there. Just use the drops your doctor gave you and hopefully you will get better. Good luck.

You may still have water in your ear. I, personally, do not like the antibiotics doctors give. I always use peroxide. It works FAST on ear infections. You only need to drip a tiny bit, then tilt your head to drain it all out. If there is an infection in your ear, this will definitely help with it. Hope you get to feeling better.

try the drops, or try the diluted hydrogen peroxide solution like that guy said.

or there are other options out there like mullein oil, or Garlic oil(which works really well especially for clearing out bacteria issues.) and then of course mineral oil(which is generally labeled baby oil in grocery stores)
