Hi,
I am a physical therapist. Exercise is great even if you have arhtritis. Maybe you need more guidance on the appropriate exercise program? Consider seeing a physical therapist. I highly recommend water exercise for those with arthritis.
For information about water exercise you can visit the link below.
Hope this helps.

i have had arthritis since i was 9. there are 2 kinds of exercises that i know of and do that can help good exercises. one is swimming, it is very low impact and is one of the best exercise you can do. also i know that you are looking for exercises but getting a hot tub and just sitting in it can help a lot. my parents ppurchasedone sadly it hasn't helped me (my arthritis is very bad and a lot of things never work for me) but it did help my mom and her pain from a other autoimmune disease). the other one is getting an elliptical. but it HAS to be a good one because if you get a bad one it will cause you even more pain because it is not doing what it is suppose to do, have low impact on your joints. i don't know of any support groups but if you do want someone to talk to about it you can talk to me about it. just email me through y!a. i hope i helped :)

Low impact exercises are usually recommended for people who suffer from joint pain. Swimming would be the best choice for something like this.
Also, have you talked to your doctor about any kind of medication you could go on to help you get through an active day?
Walking, swimming, isometrics.
