You think? Maybe not.

If you have peroxide laying around the house that would probably be most useful. Peroxide is just something thats used as a disinfectant for cuts..& you can visibly see the germs bubbling up, so you can know what area's to wash away. (even though you want to wash the whole thing out, & this is also painless). Or if you dont have peroxide you could also use rubbing alcohol, which is also a disinfectant, BUT the rubbing alcohol is a little painful, you will feel quite a sting...but its better than having an infected toe. If you dont have either of those, the best you could do is just rinse it out with water, and apply light ice. But of course going to the hospital is probably the best thing you could do.
