hip pain after workout?!

Question: Hip pain after workout?
ok so i was lifting weights and i was working on my legs. it was my first time ever working out and i didnt go over board i could easily lift what i was doing but a day or so later i had pains inmy hips on the left and right sides. its been goin on for about a week now and im pretty sure its not muscle soreness cuz when i flex it doesnt hurt. its more like in the joint of my femur and pelvis, its painfully to walk sometimes i have to limp and it wakes me up in the middle of the night and its hard to go back to sleep. so if anyone has any idea of what this could be i would like to know cuz i cannot find anything on this.

Even though you didn't go overboard you probably put a lot of strain on your joints because they weren't used to working like that. You should probably see a doctor just in case, especially because the pain is bad and because it hasn't gone away yet. Once your doc gives you the OK, you can start working out again, but this time start more slowly, watch your technique, and make sure to stretch and warm up before and after each workout.

I'm an athlete/play sports and have had all types of injuries before.
