Do stitches hurt when they are taken out?!
Question: Do stitches hurt when they are taken out?
Answers:
Having stitches removed is as close to painless as a medical procedure can get. You'll feel them lift the stitch with a tweezer then the stitch will be cut with a scissor. Most people feel nothing when the stitch is slipped out. The skin involved has developed scar tissue and scar tissue has few nerve endings. I have personally had stitches removed multiple times without any pain involved.

Good grief if you had stitches put in without a local you have nothing to worry about.
They snip the bit near your skin, there's very little 'stitch' to pull out and you can feel something but it's absolutely nothing like pain.
Nope. Just a little pinching weird feeling, but not pain. I even took out my own stitches at home on more than one occasion.
