Are you up to date with your tetanus shots? If not then you should go to your doctor and get a tetanus shot to be on the safe side. If it is not bleeding profusely then I think you should be fine. When you say it feels weird what do you mean? If it is feeling tingly then chances are you may have hit a nerve and might want to get it checked out. The most important thing at the moment though is that you get a tetanus shot if you haven't had one in the last ten years.

Take care.

EDIT

I would go to the doctor if your really worried but I don't think there is too much they can really do unless you severed a nerve which is very unlikely. I would say if it doesn't feel any better in the next week then go get it checked out.

Did the nail lodge in your body, or did it stay attached to the bookshelf? If the nail lodged in your body, then you need to get to the emergency room. Is your tetanus shot up to date? If not, then you need to get to the emergency room a.s.a.p. To stop the itching, you can put some Neosporin plus pain relief or triple antibiotic ointment and a band aid on it. You should clean it with hydrogen peroxide before you put ointment on it.

O___O

I bet that hurt..
