Question: Big cut through my finger, what to do?

last night while i was drunk i accidently cut my finger with a knife by accident, it went about a quarter of the way through and bled non stop till i couldnt feel my finger, now it has finally stopped bleeding but all i did was but a tissue and sticky tape on it, will it be okay to leave like that? some mates said to get stitches but hes abit of a pussy so yea, will this heal by itself if i just leave it and push the cut together so its not open

After 24-48 hours a doctor will not stitch this up due to the risk for infection. Make sure you clean it out very well and if it is gaping open make sure to clean it often while it is healing. Let it get air as much as possible as a dry cut will heal more quickly. If you see redness or swelling have a doctor check it out as there could be infection. I think it will heal fine if you let it heal on its own.

It might heal on its own, but you could also end up with a really bad infection. You should really take that stuff off and have a look at it. Clean it with hydrogen peroxide or alcohol and check it for signs of infection. Get some butterfly bandaids which are designed to hold two sides of a cut together and use those on it. Also apply some antibiotic ointment.
