Question: Sore quadriceps dont know whats wrong?
ok i train in krav maga and bjj and after my last class my quad was really sore especially when i walk downs stairs anyways what would your diagnosis be is it strained or is it just a little sore and what should i do about also im going snowboarding in two days and would like to be in a little better shape oh and the pain is the outer quadriceps

im sorry, but you have tore your miniscus, im afraid you are going to need a transplant, and miniscus are in short supply since they shut down the concentration camps......

The quadriceps muscles are the muscles on the front of the thigh. They consist of the vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, vastus intermedius and the rectus femoris. A strain is a tear in the muscle. These can range in severity, from a very small tear to a complete rupture.

Apply the R.I.C.E. (rest, ice, compression, elevation) procedure for the first 24 hours.
Apply cold therapy as soon as possible and every 2-3 hours.
Use a compression bandage until you feel no pain.
Rest for at least 72 hours before commencing light training.
If there is no pain, continue with training.
See your health care provider as soon as possible (orthopedic surgeon or sports doctor), for consultation.
