Pinched Nerve in the ankle?!

I hit my shins on a bar one day and the swelling dropped to my ankle. every since it has been swollen and now it is slighty numb. Is this a pinched nerve? Also it has been about 7 months now and im on the girls cross country/track and have been running on it. no pain just numbness and swelling. Is it ok to keep running on it for another 3 months until track is over? Also will i be forced to have surgery when im done?:'( or is there an alternative treatment? i dont care how long the process is. please and thank you!!
