Question: When will the ringing in my left ear stop?!?
Yesterday my friend was trying to be funny and shot his shotgun 2-3 times a couple feet from me before I could plug my ears. There has been this ringing in my left ear and its sooo annoying. At first everything was muffled and it was hard to hear, but now I can hear fine out of it. I slept for a few hours, woke up, and it was gone. But yet again it came back 5 minutes after I woke up. Can someone please tell me when this madness will go away???

You are hearing ringing in your ears, then you have tinnitus. Tinnitus can be a bothersome condition, and there are many things that could cause it. Make sure to continue to avoid and eliminate the factors that trigger the reoccurrence of the problem. Temporary tinnitus usually goes away relatively quickly, if the ringing in your ear is persistent, you may consider seeing your doctor.
