Calf pain. What happened?!

Question: Calf pain. What happened?
Ok, so the moment i woke up, i tried to turn from my back onto my side, and when i was doing so, i felt an extreme pain in my calf area, as if my muscles ripped apart. now i can't straighten it when i'm standing. any idea what might have happened? i had no injury that could provoke that and been playing games/asleep for the last 12+ hours, and walking before that, but that's it. no training, nothing extreme, and nothing that could stress muscles in that area.
p.s. it's clearly not nerves or bone or skin.

I hate people who throw around the word torn like the one above me. Ok if someone tears a muscle, tendon or ligament, they would be in so much pain they would be in the Emergency Room right now and not asking about it on yahoo answers. What I believe to have happened is during your sleep you naturally stretch, its what your body does, and because you have been inactive, your body may have tried to stretch to hard and you pulled a muscle, much different than tearing. Basically you hyper extended the muscle and now its very sore. This will sound crazy, but here's what you need to do, not rest. Get out a heating pad, place it on the calf for 20-25 minutes. (don't have a heating pad, take a bath, not a shower, you need to surround the calf muscle in heat) once you have done that its time to stretch LIGHTLY. So you put both hands against the wall like your pushing it then the front foot is the leg unaffected. The bad leg should be the back leg, Straighten the bad leg and try to lean forward with your foot flat on the ground, do this slowly as to not pull the muscle any more than has already happened. If you don't understand what I am saying look it up online. Calf stretches. After you have done this a few times holding 30 seconds each time( make sure to do both legs), you need to go for a walk, its going to be really sore at first, but you need to keep pushing on to loosen the muscle. Once it starts getting loose I would even recommend running a little but do not do any sprints. The last thing you want to do is sit around all day trying to ice/heat it, you need to get physically active to help loosen the muscle. After the run/walk then I would stretch again. Then finally at the end of the exercise routine I would Ice it. These will help reduce internal swelling that you may not see. Ibuprofen should be enough to help with both pain and inflammation. Best of Luck
