Is it wrong to go tit for tat?!

Question: Is it wrong to go tit for tat?
Is it morally wrong to kill a drug dealer if this drug dealer killed your best friend with the drugs he sold him?

I am asking if it is morally wrong, not if it is legally wrong, I am well aware it is against the law.

Some say an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, but the needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few, what if more people die from his drugs, possibly even someone you love?

If he gets locked up I feel with the way the prison system is all that will happen is he will make MORE connections and be out on the streets in a couple of years selling drugs again.

I am normally not a violent person at all I am very peaceful, but I feel this man is a danger to the community and must be stopped.

I just want to go over his house and beat the **** out of him then stuff ALL his drugs down his throat, but I'm not gonna do it b/c my family needs me out of prison.

I hate this entire situation and it makes me so angry and I can't really do anything about it

So what does your question have to do with pain and pain management?

So why would you want to stop with just this last guy who happened to be his dealer at the time? What about the first guy who got him into drugs to begin with? What about his friends who knew he was doing drugs but didn't do the right things to help him, don't they own a piece of this as well? Those are the ones you don't want to look at but are as much a problem as the last person was. Trouble is you liked the guy, but he did this to himself, it just happened there was a last time for him. While it would be great to say it would be the right thing to do it would be hard to say that for it opens too many doors that shouldn't be opened. As my question pointed out, even those of us behind have some responsibility to this for if we knew how things were and didn't do anything to get the person out of it, or some help, we have some of this on us as well, which is harder to admit so we go after 'the bad guy', the last one who sold him anything. If the guy didn't force him to do the drugs what would you be killing him for? There just would be someone else for there is a market out there for the drugs and that is where the problem lies. Sorry for your loss but two wrongs don't make a right.

Morally I would say it depends on all the circumstances. The situation is not as simple as you portray it to be. Its sad to say but drug dealers are really just business people, you have nice ones, mean ones who get the job done cleanly, and dirty bastards who are just scum in all aspects. If this person poisoned your family member you have to ask a few questions. 1) Did they do anything to the drugs that caused this reaction( example lets say it was weed, did they lace it with acid or cocaine and not tell your family member) In that case I would say they are a scum bag and the eye for eye approach would be morally justified. If they supplied them with something laced and had no idea I would say its morally unjustified but they deserve some punishment (not death). Now if the dealer supplied them with drug A but told your family member it was Drug B I would again say it would be morally justified to take them out. However if they had no idea they had done it then that would be different but would still deserve punishment, not eye for eye but jail time or a serious lesson. Now you are claiming this person supplied the drugs to your family member, why are they not behind bars? Why did no one step up and turn this person in, they will only do it again. The best piece of advice I can give you is look at the Italian Mafia Families. Italians are much smarter than all these stupid boy gangs today(bloods, crips, La Kings(even though they act like queens). If you want some dirty business done, you never do it yourself, and you never leave it in the hands of someone in your family or a friend. You always do it through a friend of a friend, NEVER a stranger. It cuts the connection to you and keeps your hands clean. And you always make sure you were busy during the "confrontation" whether its an *** beating he will never forget or a hit. Make sure your at work or somewhere public under surveillance like a mall so you have a story. Anyways, the people who get ahead in this business are the ones who use their heads not their fists or .45's. Fists/.45's have a time and a place, but fists and revenge don't mix well. Hope that helps your question.

Be careful about setting up an kind of retaliation. Police have fake "mobsters"out there these days looking for people who want revenge. If you get caught talking to one of these guys you get serious jail time, its like attempted murder charges. Like I said, always a friend of a friend. If there is no trail between you and this person that the cops know about well then I can safely say you may roll up the sleeves, just make sure you know who your messing with and be ready for their retaliation if they find out it was you who beat them senseless. I recommend hitting them bad enough they become "simple minded aka retarded" after the beating. I have a sick mind but who doesn't. If you say you don't then your just a lying piece of crap.

Plus this question from my answering perspective was a hypothetical what-if question and not necessarily something I recommend doing or would necessarily do myself. I am answering this solely on the base of an imaginative dream played out in ones head and not in reality itself. I believe in justice and if the system doesn't work, do as our four fathers did before, set a new system.
