X-rays and doctors cannot fix a sprained ankle, it would be a complete waste of time and money.

Do it your self.

If its sprained it will hurt yes but you shouldn't have to go to the hospital.
If it is broken you definitely need to go to the hospital.
If it is sprained really bad then you need to get like a brace on it.
To convince her that it really does hurt just wait 1 hour.
Lay on the bed or on the couch with a glass of water and take some pain relievers.
Try to go to bed for an hour and tough the pain out for one hour.
If it still hurts bad enough that you need to go to the hospital then tell her you have waited and that you need to go to the hospital to get x-rays taken and a brace put on. The doctor will probably give you prescribed pain medication. It should not be to much money if you have health insurance and it is not like its an emergency operation. Your mom will just drive you up there, wait in the waiting room maybe, and you go in the back and they check your foot and go from there.

~ Good Luck.

Tell her that what if it's not sprained, and it's broken, and it sets wrong? They might have to do a very expensive (not to mention painful) correction surgery to correct it, and the procedures are also to rebreak the bone and set it right. Tell her that and she should come around.

Well my dad is the same, so I told my grandmother(his mom) that I'm in pain and she told him to take me.. soo get someone to sweet talk her.... hope this help
