why is my finger still numb?!

Question: Why is my finger still numb?
almost a week ago, I was playing in the snow for maybe 30 minutes to an hour, with no gloves or winter clothing. Now, the face of my left ring finger is still numb. I've put my hand under painfully hot water for long periods of time, tried rubbing and squeezing it, and nothing has worked. It isn't entirely numb, but I need to add extra pressure just to feel something touching it. The finger is the normal color, size, and shape. All that's wrong with it is the numbness.
How do I get rid of the numbness?

Answers:

After a week and same color size and shape then I don't think you have cold damage, however, I think that while you were playing you injured your finger and because it was unprotected from the cold you did not feel the injury at that time. You need to have it look at by a hand surgeon who is a specialty of orthopedics, they'll do xrays to see any minor dislocation that might be pinching a nerve. But definetly not normal and you don't want it to get worse.
