Painful Migraine and Chills?!

Question: Painful Migraine and Chills?
Alright so for the last three days now, I've been having a horrible Migraine accompanied by the chills, stuffy nose, coughing, dizziness, and muscle weakness. 3 days passed now and most of the things were halved and not as bad anymore but my chills and migraine is still extremely painful and cold. I've been taking Migraine medicine but it only seems to help up to 12 hours and after that it fades away and I end up not going to sleep, rather, I can't. Does anyone know of how to get rid of the chills and migraine? Would appreciated it so much if you can give me some ideas. The doctors is going to be closed for another day so that can't be an option as of right now. Thanks for reading.

All of your symptoms point to a virus or a flu type infection. Try taking paracetamol and Ibuprofen together every 4 hours until you get to a doctor. You may need antibiotics as you have had this for 3 days and other meds are not helping you. I am not sure what age you are, if you are old enough to drink alcohol then have a hot toddy which is a scottish recipe that my husband uses , get some whiskey and add hot boiling water to it, sip on this and it helps the flu like symptoms go away, add honey if you have any. Good Luck

How anyone can tell you to take Ibuprofen and in the same breath tell you to drink Hot Toddies or whiskey. That is very dangerous. Best thing is just to ride the ways. If it is the flu then just ride it out. Take your migraine medication as prescribed.Stay home and in bed, rest. Take Tylenol for the fever and chills. Drink plenty of water and juices{no sugar added} If you don't feel like eating then don't. Just stay hydrated. Try to stay away from antibiotics. We take too many of them and most people never finish the full cycle. After three days you should see your doctor if you develop a fever over 101, can't stand up,start vomiting or have chest pains. This only a guide.
