What do you do for work experience in a hospital?!

I will be doing work experience in a hospital in a dew months and I just wanted to know a few things:

what do you actually do? --- is it all just making coffee for the doctors, or do you actually get to do stuff that you can only do in a hospital?

do you get to talk to patients?

do you get to see surgery? I'm on a ward that cares for people before and after they have operations, so do I actually get to watch the surgery?
