Question: Can disc heal by it self or not? here is my lumbar spine MRI report..?
what i have heard that discs cant heal it self, but my doctor said it's not that serious and it will heal it self,here is my MRI report can anyone tell me if it can heal by it self based on his/her experience.
I work on my computer a lot.
been suffering from the pain for almost 2 months now.
Lumbar spine MRI
T1&T2 weighted and axial images were obtained.
L5-S1:
Dehydrated Disc with centro-posterior protrusion indenting the thecal sac but intact nerve roots.
L4-L5:
Mild annular disc bulge is noted, just flattening the thecal sac but not affecting the nerve roots.
No other significant discogenic pathology is seen.
Loss of normal lumbar lordosis is noted, suggestive of muscle spasm.
The lumbar vertebral bodies height with their bone marrow signal intensity are preserved.
The conus medullaris appears normal.

If you're young, you will probably bounce back. MRI doesn't show any moderate herniation or instability. You should be okay.
