Possible Knee & Ankle injury?!

Question: Possible Knee & Ankle injury?
I was walking and my left leg had fallen in a hole and twisted. It was fine till I had slipped 5 minutes later and landed right on my left knee on about 1/2 inch ice on my driveway.

Answers:

Which way did your ankle twist? Inversion ankle injury is bad, the foot rolls to the outside, like when you might sit cross-legged on the floor.

I always campaign to make sure people watch for swelling in the foot, on up to the knee, watch for tingling, numbness, and loss of movement of toes, foot, or leg -- whenever an ankle is twisted for a knee is injured.

Watch for the symptoms of nerve damage from swelling. Sometimes the pain does not match the severity of the ankle injury. Sometimes nerve injury happens not where you think the main injury is.
