blister on my son's toe?!

Question: Blister on my son's toe?
OK so when I put my sons socks on him Thursday I didn't realize there was a string cutting into my sons big toe. The sock was on for a good 8 hours, when we realized it, there was a deep indentation on his big toe and the toe was pretty swollen. We soaked the toe and the indentation went down but not the swelling. Its been 3 days now and the indentation is still visible and it is still swollen. The toe now looks like it has a blister on it.

I say we take him to the emergency room, but my boyfriend says no. What could be wrong and should I take him. Only serious answers only, I feel bad enough as it is because I didn't realize the string sooner.. Thank you all

Answers:

You should go see a doctor. Three days of swelling is not really a good sign. Though swellings last for a week. If your boyfriend does not want you to go see a doctor. The best thing you could do for your son is to clean the wound at least twice a day and at the same time replace its bandage. Maintain or improve his daily diet because a unhealthy body could lead to infections.
