Question: Why has my foot swolen so much?
Basically, I was playing football on Friday, and a kid went to go kick the ball, and kicked my foot. I have asked a previous question on here, and it doesn't sound like i have broken anything, as I am not in much pain, but what I don't understand is, he only kicked me once, yet both sides of my ankle have swolen, and so have the top of my foot. It is almost impossible that he can kick both sides of my ankle in one kick, so why have both sides, plus the top of my foot, swolen?

When a joint like your ankle is injured fluid forms around it, which means it will swell all round the joint.
The best way to treat it untilyou can get some professional help is to keep it elevated and put a cold pack on it - a bag of ice or even frozen peas wrapped in a towel will help, and go to an A & E or see your dr tomorrow.
