I swallowed an omeprazole capsule today and I felt as if it got stuck. Help?!


Question: I swallowed an omeprazole capsule today and I felt as if it got stuck. Help?
I drank a bottle of water and it feels like the water would kind of get stuck and then go down(same with food). I was able to eat some mash potatoes and that's it. I'm sure the pill went down by now, but it feels like it stretched my lower throat and it's sore. Is there anything I can do to make my throat feel better. Thanks.

Papaya and warm honey water will help to relieve the irritation.
Do not force yourself to cough, it will make your feel worse.
