Pain in feeding tube scar suddenly?!

Question: Pain in feeding tube scar suddenly?
I'm 21 and was born 3 months premature, so I had feeding tubes for a while after I was born. Thus, I have scars on both of my sides, under my armpits. They have never bothered me before at all. But for the past few days, one of the scars has been hurting, especially when I put my arm down at my side. It's not excruciating, but it doesn't feel great either. The other scar feels fine. I don't think I did anything to strain the underlying muscle or anything. Is this something I should worry about, or is this normal??

Answers:

It doesn't sound right at all. Pinched back muscles often send pains around the body to be pains in the sides or front of the body. Freeing them up might help you and here's how to free them up:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. You can try pressing onto the scar area itself and hold pressure on it for 30 seconds, then slowly lift your arm straight up, then release the pressure but continue holding your arm up for another 30 seconds. If neither of these seems to be of help you may need to seek out someone in massage therapy to see if they can get you some help.
