Muscle pain, hurts to do anything?!

Question: Muscle pain, hurts to do anything?
i worked out on my elliptical today and i jogged three miles. i had some breaks during the exercise so i wouldnt feel like death. unfortunately, now i do. even when i dont move my legs it still hurts. when i was done exercising i watched tv for a few hours and just hung out. when i got off the couch and tried to walk it felt like a massive leg cramp on both entire legs. walking around hurts more and more as well as just having these legs attached to my body. im currently lying on my side on the floor and they still hurt. the pain feels sharp sometimes, or burny. no throbbing and its definitely not achey..

Take some Ibuprofen and a hot bath. This will help a lot!
The Ibuprofen will reduce the swelling and the hot bath will relax those sore muscles
Good Luck and you looking great! Keep up the workout.

Happens to me sometimes when i do squads, it sounds like inflammation due to overstressed muscle, let me guess you havent worked out like that in a long time? its going to hurt to walk for a week or so and then you will be fine.

Its the worsh the first day.

Bodybuilder

stretch.....yep
walk around a bit first to get a little blood flowing first
It will hurt like hell
but it should work

Or just sleep it off

Should work if its just a cramp, if its swelling of some sorts then I dont know

leg cramps during swimming

Sounds like you're sore. Might be a good idea to try to get in shape by easing into it. 3 miles right off the bat is clearly more than your body is happy to deal with.

Having said that, it also sounds like you're experiencing the side effects of being Magnesium deficient. Symptoms include muscle pain, muscle twitch, muscle spasm, cramping, etc.

More information on that here see resource below.

To get out of your post-workout soreness: In the shower, alternate hot and cold on the legs. Heat brings blood to the area, cold then flushes it out and then the body pushes new blood in. You want as much circulation as possible to get lactic acid and waste product out and new blood and nutrition in.

Also, self massage. Just squeeze squeeze squeeze over and over. Like a sponge. Out with the old, in with the new.

Drink lots of water, and get as much good nutrition in you as possible so your body can do what it needs to do to get you feeling better again.
