i have some problems with my stomach ? help please ?!

Question: I have some problems with my stomach ? help please ?
well im 16 idk if that matters any ? anyways about 3 weeks ago i started getting this really sharp pain in my upper stomach , i started throwing up everything and anything i ate or would drink. It got so bad at one point i couldnt even have water
i went to the doctor and they said a possible ulcer but what i was describing along with the pain i was feeling on the right side of y middle back plus the stomach pain they thought it might also be an infection in my kidneys and on top of all that a proble with the muscles in my stomach
anyways they gave me two medicines ( prilosec , and elival )
they dont really seem to do much and they are also going to perform an upper GI sometime next week , just wondering what type of medicines they will give me for pain, also what the cocktail drink they gave me when i went to the hospital (it numbed my stomach and throat , and it was pinkish )
thank you very much , also is there any suggestions on food that i would possibly be able to keep down and wont hurt much ? please and thank you again this would be a really big help

Answers:

Well the prilosec is for the ulcer and it takes about a week really before you start noticing any changes. The elival they gave you is usually for depression but maybe just to keep you calm and relax those muscles in your stomach.
The pink stuff they gave you sounds like it was so they could see it going through your system and maybe see if something was being blocked or even a tare in the stomach lining.
It does sound like a kidney infection and an ulcer so you probably have both. I don't know that they would give you pain meds for this other than taking some over the counter medication. They might though if your in enough pain.
Good Luck!

problems from diabetes? Avoid sugar. Get tested.

To your health, please go to the hospital

Did they test you for H Pylori infection? That's the first place to look if they think it's an ulcer.

Assuming that you don't have a kidney infection or virus etc, one important place to look is Gluten Intolerance.

If you've never had digestive issues, it may or may not be the issue. Usually sudden onset is infection/virus/etc, but depending on what your immune system is doing and what your diet consists of etc, sudden problems can be related to Gluten Intolerance catching up to you.

You've been to the hospital, and they don't know what's up (though assumably they've ruled out anything life threatening). Which actually is a clue that points to Gluten Intolerance.

In short, if you body doesn't deal with gluten very well (gluten/wheat is an inflammatory agent), then slowly over time it deteriorates the wall of your digestive tract and gives you Leaky Gut, and sets you up for all sorts of problems, even at a young age.

Colitis, ulcers, IBS, digestive problems, food allergies, H Pylori overgrowth, etc, are all possible symptoms of gluten intolerance.
