Sour/Metallic Taste in Mouth - Won't Go Away?!
Question: Sour/Metallic Taste in Mouth - Won't Go Away?
Hey All - hoping someone can help me out here.
After roughly a week (5 days to be exact) of binge drinking and smoking way more than usual I woke up this past Monday, Feb 14th, with a pretty intense hangover, a slight cough and quite a bit of acidity. While I feel COMPLETELY normal now, I have had this annoying off-taste (kind of metallic/sour) in my mouth for a whole week (i.e. Feb 14th - present). I've been to my physician, ENT and Dentist, but no one can exactly pinpoint what the cause is. Here are some details:
Physician - Had no clue, and could only recommend vitamins.
ENT - Told me to get a sinus CT (completely normal), CBC (normal), B12 (normal), and Vitamin D3 (deficient, but I guess that's always been the case). It might be helpful to know that I had a cold a couple of weeks back, but there are no signs of it whatsoever presently.
Dentist - Told me I had one badly decayed wisdom molar, but it has been in this state for months and, while I'm having it removed next week, I'm not sure this is the cause. The dentist also mentioned that he wasn't entirely sure and that there were many possible causes.
While I can taste my food, the taste in my mouth in between meals (which is most of the day!) is really bothering me. Please let me know if you have any thoughts. My taste is critical for my profession and I have to get to the bottom of this. I've read some stuff regarding mercury poisoning from fish (and I did eat fish twice a day during this 5 day period), but I'm guessing there needs to be some serious intake of contaminated fish for that to happen. Please help!

Use mouth wash like I said on the outer one
