You shouldn't wear any silicone jewelry in a fresh stretched or pierced piercing hole, it can get stuck in the ear because it is an adhesive material and the ear can swell over the jewelry. Silicone tunnels are really flexible, so think about it, wearing flexible jewelry like that in a fresh stretched lobe will most likely not be able to maintain the stretched size because it is a bendy material. Leaving in the tapers is a good idea so your ear lobes will be used to the new size, but leaving tapers in after 2 or 3 days is not really healthy for your ears, you should buy some plugs.
Also, some tapers are not the actual size of 1/2", actual 1/2" tapers are supposed to be 12.7mm, but some places only make/sell 12mm, so that might explain it.
5/8" ear lobes
I would try leaving the tapers in for a bit. Do you have other plugs/tunnels besides the silicone tunnels? I wonder if they might be a little big, i know some tunnels are measured by the size of the tunnel hole and not the tunnel themselves. I would try another set of plugs/tunnels until you can get the ones you have to fit.
how about going au natural?
Leave your ears alone!
Take out the tapers& let the holes you inflicted on you body close.
...mmmmmmmmm....... could be a sign dontcha think?
