Question: Does medi/medi cover the cost of a hospital bed?
my grandfather is in desperate need of a hospital type bed in order for me to keep him out of a nursing facility. does anyone know how to get one at little cost?

Christel, Usually the doctor needs to right a script, for the need of a hospital bed and he should explain why such as 1) he can not breath lying flat due to lungs 2) He can't sleep flat due to Acid Reflux disease, He just has to say he suggeset a hospital bed for the person, Your Grandfather is on Medicare medicaid will pay for the bed as long as needed. I have a hospital bed for breathing and reflux and Medicare/ medicaid pays everything. Good Luck
