Question: Neck Arthritis - Vertebrae 2 and 3?
He said after looking at the x-ray that #2 and #3 were fused together. That it is like walking around carrying a bowling ball around on your head because there is no curve. He said in 8 or so months you will start to feel a pain that won't go away, then 3 months later end up on crutches or in a wheelchair. I believe he said arthritis in the neck? He wanted another free visit with a family member to discuss exercises but never made it back there. Does this sound like it is possible?

well what type of doctor was this? This person needs to see a neurologist. Arthritis will not cause problems that quick.
I have neck problems.
If fusion has already taken place then the arthritis is already severe. Like someone else said arthitis and degeneration don't happen overnight but if segments are already fused then it has been degenerating for some time.
