I've had both hips replaced in separate surgeries. People react differently to pain and discomfort. This was my experience: at the 2 week point after surgery #1 I was taking tylenol3 (contains codeine). At the 2 week point following surgery #2 I was taking OTC tylenol (no codeine). Both worked fine and seemed to be enough to cope with chronic pain. The only time I had sharp pain was when I tried to roll over in bed, get in bed or get out of bed or if I moved "wrong". That pain was intermittent and short-lived. I would have rated my overall pain at a very low level. I don't know if my experience is typical nor do I even know if there is a typical pain level to expect. Most important would be to adequately treat whatever pain the patient is having.
well it depends on your power level. if its 9000 +, youll be good
