How long can post concussion syndrome persist?!

Question: How long can post concussion syndrome persist?
Back in Late September or early October I think it was, I'd bent down, and then stood up quickly and hit my head full force on the underside of a metal cabinet that was on the wall. I had a mild concussion, though I didn't go to the doctor at the time. Early November I went because I was still feeling off, and the doc said I had post concussion syndrome, showing some cognitive slowness, but I should be better soon. After a week or two I was feeling better. i've felt mostly better since then, but today i'm feeling so much like I did after my concussion, and I was wondering if PCS can persist that long, and if i can randomly come back like this? Anyone have any personal experience?

In most people, post-concussion syndrome symptoms occur within the first seven to 10 days and go away within three months, though they can persist for a year or more.
