what should i do?

Answers:

if you have a temperature you should see a doctor if you open your mouth in front of a mirror and use a plastic spoon handle to hold your tongue down look at your tonsils in a mirror they're either side of the back of your mouth does the thing dangling in the middle have little red lumps on it and your tonsils either side do they look red and swollen or have white on them then this is tonsillitis and you may need to see a doctor if it is just a sore throat and mild case of it gargle with warm salty water 4 times a day and spit the salty water out drink tea with honey in it now this sounds yuk but it is really good for you rub butter on your throat outside then wrap with cotton wool and an old big sock or woollen scarf keep that area warm even lay on a wrapped warm hot pack drink lots of fluids and have 2 paracetamol if your not allergic to this every 4 hours do not exceed 8 in 24 hours but if you have any difficulty swallowing or you get a temperature get to a doctors! hug your way Luv Granny M x

1.I have had childhood tonsilightis for years still get it!

you may have a post nasal drip if you have a runny nose, basically blow your nose!
a post nasal drip is when you snot drips down your throat. easy enough. if it gets into your lungs, you cough it up but it also spreads to places, such as ears and blocks them, leaving a bit of a pain. its nasty, i know. you should go to your doc and get antibiocitcs if this is the case. ceclor often works wonders.
your tonsil may be sore from your nymph nodes which appear to be your tonsils.

i have ad this problem manyyyy times but never learn m lesson. its very painful when you swollow. try continental chicken noodle soup. it actually helps!!
