Question: My husband accidentally stepped on my second toe and now it is swollen?
It is also swollen at the base of the toe. It does not hurt to touch the toe and it does not appear broken. It is only painful to step on because of the fluid I believe. How long before the swelling goes down?

I would give it at least a day or two at the most for the swelling to go down. Icing it will help bring the swelling down a lot so grab some ice chuck it in a tea towel and keep the toe raised and iced.
Stomp on your husbands toe back! > = D
