Does having a cavity cleaned out hurt?!

Question: Does having a cavity cleaned out hurt?
Went to the dentist and got told I have small one , is it going to hurt ? It's my first cavity .

Answers:

nope, just alot of pressure. if it hurts you need to let him know, it should not hurt at all.

No, you won't feel the filling at all. The dentist will give you an injection of local anaesthesia to numb that area of your mouth. You may feel a little pinch when you get the injection, but it's not bad. :)

They should give you a novocaine, which will numb the tooth so that it doesn't hurt.
