7 months ago i sprained my ankle........?!

Question: 7 months ago i sprained my ankle........?
i hit a little whole mowing the grass last july and the top of my foot popped. it didnt hurt and i could still walk just fine but about 2 hours later i had throbbing all the way to my butt. went to the er and they ex-rayed it and said it was a sprain. well i have a bump on the side of my left foot on top and my vein sticks out and my foot goes numb all the time and throbbing goes to my butt. if it was a sprain u think it would be fine by now but its not.it seems to pop every so often and i was standing the other day and the top of my foot popped like if my bones were rubbing it was really weird and my foot hurt for an hour and was fine but my foot still goes numb non stop all day and night even if i have no pressure on my foot! what should i do and does this sound like something i may need surgery for or have i done something to my nerves or is it a fractured foot. i dont have insurance so i dont want to waist money i dont have if its nothing but its driving me nutts. i went to walk off a step today and almost went to the ground and i didnt go off it wrong. now my foot is killing me and its starting to throbb all the way to my butt now....i need help..please..........

Make a appointment to see a doctor. It is not a sprained but you need to talk to the doctor about the problem you are having. He will be able to help you the most.Probably will need x-rays done,to help the doctor to know what is the problem is.What ever you need to know about your situation you can asked the doctor and you will be told.Go the doctor as soon as possible. Good luck.

I agree with funky bird. It isn't going to be cheap and they are going to ask you pay "up front" so be prepared for several hundred dollars for the x-rays and the office visit.

I realize now is no time for a lecture but, this is why you need to have health insurance.

I suggest seeing an orthopedic specialist.
