How do you shop for a posture corrective back brace when dealing with height?!

Question: How do you shop for a posture corrective back brace when dealing with height?
It has sizes i guess..for how round you are in the mid section, but none for height..im 76 inches tall..I know i would not fit the same as someone 63 inches tall as my rib cage is bigger.

Answers:

Claire, I personally don't like to use braces for posture. What they do is actually weaken the very muscles that are the ones that need to be strengthened. So you wind up actually making things worse not better. If you really want such a brace then I would strongly urge you not to get one from anyone other than a registered orthotist, brace maker. They would adjust the brace to you even if it is an off the shelf variety. Other than this there is no really good way of having a brace fit you correctly. Products that are made for over the counter use are designed for the "average" person and few of us are that. So my approach to you would be to strengthen the appropriate muscles by seeing a physical therapist or see a therapist and get the brace from an orthotist.
