Question: What can I do temporarily for a broken knuckle?
I am pretty sure my pinky knuckle is broke because I can barely use my pinky at all,it has swollen to nearly double it's size,and it really hurts when trying to make a fist.If your wondering how I did it, I punched the wall in rage (I don't need anger management,just did it for the second ever time in my life while arguing :( ). Anyway I am going to go to hospital for x-ray in morning,but what can I do until then?Going to hospital is out of the question tonight as it is nearly midnight.

Try to wrap it up tightly, so that it does not move around. If it just stay still, it most likely will not hurt nearly as bad. Most of the pain comes from the movement of the broken bone. But, DEFINITELY see a doctor as soon as you can. Make sure not to wrap it too tightly, though. Just kind of snug.
ice it to try and reduce swelling. It might also numb it a little so you can get some sleep.
