tonsillectomy!:(((((?!

Ugh.. I had a tonsillectomy a week and a half before Christmas. The doctor told me that a lot of ice cream would help ease the pain; plus they give pain medication. It will hurt a lot and cause headaches. I ended up not eating anything for a few days because it even hurt to swallow my own saliva. You eventually, after a few days, will develop scabs on the back of your throat. Don't touch those; that is the healing process. Soooo....in conclusion, just be ready for a very painful throat, headaches, and a pretty much achy body... I would take off at least a week of school/work. Mine was during my winter break so I had plenty of time to recover :) Remember the ICE CREAM! And good luck ;)
P.S. I was better by Christmas though, lol. I wouldn't miss Christmas dinner for anything. :D
