What has helped your fibromyalgia?!
Question: What has helped your fibromyalgia?
Answers:
Hopefully it is only a flare up and it will soon settle. Look at what you have been doing in the last few weeks, have you been unwell with a cold/flu, virus or under stress or your not sleeping as well as you usually would.
I am not sure what medication your on, but you may need reevaluate your medication with your doctor & rheumatologist, if the pain continues.
I find that extremes of temperature and stress exacerbates my fibromyalgia symptoms, so I hibernate in summer and winter. And if I have caught a cold, flu or virus then it knocks, me side ways.
I have found that keeping my fluids up (especially in summer), and eating a healthy balanced diet helps a little, I also avoid alcohol & coffee and I don't smoke. Medication helps to a degree, but the pain is always still there, but its manageable, without it I am unable to do much.
I have CFS & Fibromyalgia
giving up on the doctors---telling them what they need to do since they are clueless
I'm guessiing the other answer is referring to NSAID
but there is NO INFLAMMATION with FMS--so they are not the 1st choice--athough theymay help with pain
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE THAT IT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE THYROID
what people think is FMS is actually a DIFFERENT disorder that is misdiagnosed as FMS....
try correcting the cause for a change. it is caused by nerve interference to the thyroid. see an hio method upper cervical specific chiropractor. also, stay away from soy products and fluoride. take kelp supplements, use iodine.
Plenty of rest and eat healthy. Use the Naiads meds from your Dr. if you are no better soon another week schedule another Dr's appointment. Hope you are feeling better soon.
