Question: Would surgery just be easier?
my doctor gave me orthotics for my shoes. they dont seem to be working, im still in a lot of pain. is surgery to get the extra bone removed the next step ? or will i go in like a cast or boot first ? Pleasee helpp :(

I'm sorry that I cannot offer you any advice on your particular condition.
But, myself anyway, I always consider a surgical alternative a LAST CASE scenario.
You never come out of surgery the way you were when you went in.
I have fought 2 slipped discs for 14 years, and surgery is definitely what they want to do, but I'm allergic to all the metals they could use to fix me, so I'm definitely in a catch 22.
I know what it's like to live in pain every day of your life, and I'm sorry you're going through that. But, I say, go through all the non-surgical options you can before having to opt for surgery, unless, of course, your individual pain tolerance is at it's peak and you can't stand it anymore.
